Union Square, NYC
September 13, 2001, EveningUnion Square, the lowest point on Manhattan reachable by non-residents for now, has become a gathering place for people to sing, pray and speak. A memorial, surrounded by flowers, candles, and photos of those lost has been erected where just a few days ago, kids jumped their bikes and skateboards off of plywood ramps. The soundtrack to these photos should be the din of simultaneous renderings of "Give Peace a Chance" and various patriotic songs. Amidst all this come the speeches and the debates. You fill in the topics.
